Learn how to use simple, effective adjustments with your words, your hands and yoga props.
Giving adjustments to our students is a vital part of yoga teaching and a skill that needs practice. Navigating the ethics of touch and learning how to approach students with respect and care will underline our work. The techniques will include safe principles of touch, taking into account common injuries and alignment issues.
Through observation and seeing what’s going on in the body we will focus on safe alignment and practical applications of anatomy. We will review joint movement and range of motion in the poses we practice so we can guide people safely.
What to expect:
This is a ‚hands on’ workshop where we get to adjust others and receive adjustments. It provides experience that you can apply to your practice and teaching. The benefits of understanding some these essential concepts will enhance your own practice and teaching.
This workshop is ideal for yoga teachers who want more in-depth experience with safe adjustments and use of props in the practice.
Note: this workshop will be held in English only!
