Paros Island, Greece

October 12 – 19, 2018

This is a week to deepen your Yoga practice and spend time exploring the outer world of the island and your own inner world. Mornings begin with alignment-based Vinyasa Flow sequenced to accommodate all levels, even teachers. Meditation and workshop elements will enhance these sessions to help each individual better understand their anatomy and focus in different yoga postures. Also on offer will be journaling prompts, Partner Yoga and self-care massage techniques. Days are free to enjoy the beaches and village or rest by the pool at our hotel. Late afternoons we meet for Restorative, Yin and Meditation. Evenings are free to enjoy local Greek cuisine and as much or little group company as your soul desires. Midweek we will take a break from the yoga schedule for an optional boat excursion. Sarah brings her skill at holding space for the group and creating a yoga holiday that caters to adventure and rejuvenation. We will learn amazing adjustments to support your yogic journey and tools for living mindfully. Expect to leave refreshed and inspired, more connected to your self and at home in your body. Sarah’s classes are in English.

This year’s retreat will be at Aliki Panorama Hotel on the edge of the charming fishing village Aliki. I am so excited for this location, the island is quiet and October will have very few tourists. The hotel is run by an Iyengar teacher who has made a beautiful studio full of yoga props, the Restorative sessions will be extra luxurious and the morning sessions we can explore the wall ropes and hammocks for supported inversions. Walk 5 – 10 minutes for three different beaches, or to the village centre to discover restaurants and shopping.  5 minutes drive or easy bus ride from Paros Airport. A wonderful week to escape the pressures of normal life, switch off my brain from normal overload & improve my yoga in beautiful surroundings. A lovely balance of active yoga and restorative each day to help the body and mind. A chance to focus on myself for a change. This was my third retreat with Sarah & I have loved each one.
