SUMMARY:Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training
DESCRIPTION:Full-Spectrum Prenatal Yoga Teacher Training 2023 \n  \nApril 27 – 30th: Vienna\, Austria @ Alkemy in collaboration with Shakti Academy  \n  \n  \nThe prenatal time is about letting go of what was and embracing the body’s new changes. Yoga and meditation practices can be more than tools\, they can be allies. The group of women we meet in yoga classes and the importance of having a safe place to share our experiences can be the support needed through the journey of pregnancy and motherhood. \n  \nFor yoga teachers\, midwives\, doulas\, birth educators and healthcare providers wishing to teach yoga and meditation as practices for empowering women during pregnancy. \n  \nTaking care of the mother’s health has a direct effect on the entire family and ultimately the community of our world. We will learn approaches to asana\, as well as breathing and relaxation techniques\, that give women tools for labour as well as everyday life. Respect for the physiological and anatomical changes of pregnancy are the basis for this way of practicing and teaching yoga. \n  \nWe will focus on how to create a nurturing and honest circle of women in group classes\, how to educate without increasing fear and how to give attention to each individual. Teaching beginner students\, mixed levels and different stages of pregnancy in one group is a reality of group classes. We will set the foundations for creating sequences and using effective language to address these issues. How to handle many conditions that are common in pregnancy will be part of the learning\, so that you are familiar with what your students are going through. We will discuss the full spectrum of pregnancy\, which includes loss and infertility. The ethics of teaching include supporting each mother’s experience with respect and sensitivity\, no matter if their approach to birth is different from your own. Creating a circle that is inclusive and providing an emotional support network for sharing resources and knowledge is the deeper goal of this style of teaching. \n  \nWe aim to understand the physical and emotional shifts taking place during all four trimesters\, from conception through lactation. You will learn how yoga poses affect the baby’s position and how to offer helpful yoga asana for many common aches and pains associated with pregnancy. Common attitudes and fears related to pregnancy will be discussed with an emphasis on framing pregnancy as a healthy part of life and not an illness. Practical knowledge of how to include modifications for all stages of pregnancy in open group yoga classes is an important skill we will work on. You will learn how to help guide yoga students with any level of experience through pregnancy. \n  \nEach trainee will receive a PDF course manual and a Pre & Post-natal practice DVD. \n  \nPlease note that you will be required to do some reading\, writing and journaling assignments before the training begins. A reading list and pre-course assignments will be emailed to you with your booking confirmation. \n  \nLOCATION \nALKEMY Yoga & Healing 1040\, Gußhausstraße 2\, 1040 Wien\, Austria \n  \nINVESTMENT \nEarly Bird Price: until January 31\, 2023  €490 // Regular Price €550 \nBOOKING IS NOT CONFIRMED UNTIL TRANSFER IS COMPLETE \n  \nCERTIFICATION \nFull attendance\, written report and additional fee of €100.00 \nThe certification is an extra fee that you can add on during the training or after. \nQualification for CE credits through Yoga Alliance available when the certificate is complete. \n  \nCANCELLATION/REFUND POLICY \nUp to 45 days prior to event = Monies applied returned\, minus a 20% processing fee \n44-14 Days prior to event = 50% cancellation fee. \n13 Days or less prior to event\, or no-shows = 70%-100% fees\, based on our ability to re-sell your space and pay rental fees. \nAll refund requests must be submitted in writing \nFlow & Restore Yoga with Sarah Scharf cannot be responsible for non-refundable travel arrangements\, personal illness\, or weather or airplane delays.
